I drew fellow snarky blogger Caroline  O’ Donoghue. You should go and read her blog, partly because I drew her, partly because she is a hilarious sensation. I’m secretly getting in her good books, so I can destroy her later and eliminate my competition.  This is my first attempt at some kind of digital painting. I’m not very good yet, but I like the effect. I think it’s done masterfully in the comic Dresden Codak. Something to aim for.

There’s something very satisfying about drawing custom video game characters. First, in the game, you make sort of the bland template, and then when you draw them you get to elaborate and add personality. Double creativity. This is my character from Saints Row 3. A very average game, but it probably has the most robust character creator I’ve ever seen. Pretty boss.
